When I think of Rebecca Taylor’s clothes, one word usually comes to mind-pretty. And this season is no different, except with a 1970’s Parisian flair. The palette was comprised of mostly muted tones and there were thigh hi boots everywhere-in black and in gray. One of my favorite details was the hosiery speckled with metallic flecks all over them-sure to be a hit for Fall 2010. Another one of my top picks was the Camel Cape over a velvet dress. Rebecca sent the statuesque models out with sweaters in smoky blue and nutmeg over silk dresses embellished with feathers, and kudos to her for her use of faux fur. Who needs real when the faux looks this good? And how about the tweed, wide legged trousers and the longer blue leather shorts? Fall is looking really good for Taylor and several of her celebrity pretty little things seemed to agree. The City star Whitney Port tended to her teased out tendrils before spinning around to pose for photographers, Sophia Bush smiled away as giggly girls snapped her picture, newly engaged Kristen Bell chatted up Mercy star Michelle Trachtenberg, Carmen Electra spoke to roving reporters, Real Housewives of NYC star Ramona Singer sported a fresh, blond bob, and Maggie Rizer and Mena Suvari chatted with friends before the lights went down.
