It’s hard to believe that Oscars 2017 has come and gone. And with that, all of the celebrations leading up to the big event. Over the week, I stopped into several different soirees toasting Hollywood’s biggest night. And here is what went down.
The week kicked off at the OK! Magazine Oscars party at Nightingale Plaza where Mario Lopez greeted friends warmly and Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Scheana Shay gabbed with guests and posed for pictures with fans. And it was all about ogling the gorgeous LeVian jewels prominently displayed right by the dance floor. There was more than one piece of bling that I fell in love with!
Next stop was the Cadillac Oscars soiree at the Chateau Marmont, one of my favorite get-togethers of the Academy Awards week. And Naomi Watts and Zoe Saldana both attended and were decked to the nines. Naomi in an all black look, and Zoe killed it in a gorgeous, off-the-shoulder Jonathan Simkai dress. Meanwhile, inside the party, industry insiders sipped lots of champagne, and danced up until the end to tunes spun by DJ Michelle Pesce who alternated between pop hits like Madonna’s “Holiday” and super-fun hip-hop songs.
Over at the The Glam App x Dermaflash Pre-Oscars suite at the Peninsula. guests such as Ashley Madekwe and Jamie Chung enjoyed a variety of beauty services including manicures, makeup applications, hairstyling, and facial treatments by Dermaflash. I left with red nails, baby fresh skin, and ready for Oscars weekend. My daughter even got in on all of the excitement, insisting on getting her nails done just like Mommy!
And Gilles Marini was all smiles as he happily supported Autism Changes at Debbie Durkin’s EcoLuxe Lounge sponsored by Chariot Travelware and Un Joyau Majestueux at The Beverly Hills Hotel. At the same event, Adrienne Bailon sipped the Napa Valley winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 while checking out goods from Hastens LA and Nomad Makeup.
The night before Oscar Sunday, I wined and dined with the Sony Pictures Classics nominees, including Elle star and Best Actress nominee Isabelle Huppert at STK, for their annual dinner produced by A-List Communications. While enjoying delish offerings such as New York Strips stakes and parmesan truffle fries, guests such as Brett Ratner, Richard Kind, and Taylor Dayne listened to toasts and sipped Fleury Estate winery wine, Tanqueray No. Ten, and Zacapa Rum. So good!
