Sometimes, it is best to Nochella, rather than Coachella. And the place to do that this year was at the Soho Desert House. Set on the sprawling Merv Griffin Estate in La Quinta, the Soho Desert House was all fun and all play.
Guests enjoyed delish Grey Goose vodka cocktails, and my favorite was the take on the drink-of-the-moment, the Moscow Mule, called Le Melon Mule. So good! Party-goers could also shop the pop-up Coach store and get their inner flower child on with boho braids.
And celebs enjoyed their time at SDH too, including Katy Perry, Zoe Kravitz and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. Poor Katy! Her car broke down on the way to Coachella, but she was all smiles when she arrived to the House. She hung out by the on-property lake with her gal pals DJ Mia Morretti and Caitlin Moe.
Meanwhile, Zoe was all about taking selfies with friends. And Matt sipped the Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz cocktails while chatting with band mate Dominic Howard. He remained mum on the topic of his latest song, “Dead Inside,” but it is speculated that it was penned about his recent breakup with Kate Hudson. Good thing he was there to drown his sorrows with some vodka drinks! DJ Questlove kept everyone dancing late into the night, spinning hits such as “Happy” and “Bad Girls.” My kind of party!
