HEALTHIER FOURTH OF JULY COCKTAIL RECIPES

Happy Bday, ‘merica! Almost. And in preparation for the big day that is all about red, white and blue, I have some fun and healthier cocktail recipes for your big 4th of July blowout.

The even better news? These particular mixers are dairy-free, gluten-free and have zero calories! Now when you add alcohol and other accouterment, the calorie count rises. But at least you aren’t getting them from your mixers. They are called Be Mixed. And they deliver fresh and natural ingredients without the added sugar. Hooray! And here are some fun recipes to get your party started.

sangria

Red, White and Blue “Be You” Sangria

1 Bottle Be Mixed Cucumber Mint

4 oz. Sauvignon Blanc

6 Grapes

7 Blackberries

Splash of Soda Water

Muddle blackberries and grapes. Combine all

ingredients into a glass over ice. Stir.

lemonade

All American Lemonade Lavender Twist  

1/2 Bottle Be Mixed Cucumber Mint

1/4 tsp. Lavender

2 Lemon Slices

Splash of Soda Water

1.5 oz. Vodka or Gin

Infuse bottle of Be Mixed with lavender for

2 hours. Pour into glass over ice with vodka.

Squeeze lemon. Top with a splash of soda water.

Take Me to the Ball Game Cocktail   

1/2 Bottle Be Mixed Ginger Lime

1/2 Peach Sliced

6 oz. Wheat Beer

Muddle peach slices.

Pour all ingredients into a tall glass.
