CHANNING TATUM + ZENDAYA CELEBRATE SMALLFOOT

Who knew “smallfoot” would leave such a big impression? Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Animation Group, along with Zaftig Films, held the world premiere of Smallfoot in Westwood on Saturday, to much fan fare and even a pre-party for the littles. And the star-studded cast, including Channing Tatum (his only movie this year), Zendaya, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Yara Shahidi, Common and more all hit the blue carpet in support of this animated film.

The story centers on a lovable yeti named Migo (Tatum) who is destined to prove to his tribe that humans aka “smallfoot” really do exist. The movie not only captures the essence of what friendship means, but also reaffirms the notion that knowledge is power when dealing with the unknown, rather than resorting to fear and ignorance. It’s a fun, family-friendly film with a really great sound track, including singles such as “Finally Free” by Niall Horan and Zendaya’s “Wonderful Life.”

“I really wanted to be in a movie that has that style and that heart to it, that’s made for kids and good enough for adults to enjoy but doesn’t have any other intention other than just to be a silly, fun, amazing time. And hopefully by the end of it, you’ll come out with a little bit of a lesson learned.” Channing said to EW at the premiere.

And what premiere would be complete without a party? Pre-screening,we were treated to a winter wonderland-themed soiree in the Southern California heat, with a myriad of activities for the kids. Face-painting, airbrush tattoos, games, pottery-painting, a make your own yeti horn station, snow cones, and some of LA tastiest food truck offerings were all on hand for the festivities. There was even a photographer crafting family photos into snow globes! What better way to beat the heat? And celebrities such as David Hasselhoff, Justin Baldoni, Jillian Michaels, and Mark Duplass all enjoyed the fun!

Smallfoot opens nationwide on September 28, 2018. Will you go see it?
