The Fall/Winter 2015 Chanel Haute Couture Show, put on by designer, Karl Lagerfeld, did not disappoint. The exclusive casino themed fashion-show titled the “Cercle Privé”, or private circle, was held in the Grand Palais in Paris on July 7, 2015. Slot machines lined the walls of a large, elegant room and card tables were artistically placed in the middle of the runway.
A-list celebrities were abundant at the show and did more than just sit and watch. Adorned in Lagerfeld’s creations and considered muses of the show, Kristen Stewart, Julianne Moore, Lily Rose Depp, Rita Ora, Vanessa Paradis, Lily Collins, Lara Stone and Jemima Kirke played cards at the runway tables while models strutted around them. Other celebrity muses included, Stella Tennant, G Dragon, Alice Dellal and Gabriel Day Lewis, the budding model son of Daniel Day Lewis. Stewart opened the show, showing off her more elegant side in a chic black Chanel pantsuit. She was followed by Still Alice co-star, Julianne Moore, who looked gorgeous in a dark green velvet gown and matching peep-toe pumps.
Models, wearing uniform jet black bob wigs, bright red blush/lipstick, and black slingback mules, strutted around the card tables in classic, functional skirt suits, shimmering, textured dresses, and structural (and often bulky) blazers, jackets and coats. Kendall Jenner, the second youngest of the Kardashian clan, had the honor of closing out the show as the couture bride. She looked effortlessly beautiful in a simple, double-breasted white tuxedo with an elegant white tulle train, but also unrecognizable in a short bob!
Lagerfeld’s fall collection will please any Chanel lover with its feminine pieces that accentuate a timeless and confident glamour. What do you think of Chanel’s Fall 2015 line?
